Incident response is a set of well-defined and systematic procedures developed for the organization to follow when responding to security-related incidents. This can be a proactive analysis and plan for dealing with security–related events that may adversely affect an organization's assets.
It may also be used as forensic analysis to identify and follow a hacker's actions after a system has been breached by an unauthorized user.
